Editorial Policy
Every page should help someone make a decision, understand a technique or complete a calculation. Page count is never an editorial purpose.
Original preparation
Guides are written for this publication and are not scraped or lightly reworded from competitors. Openings, examples and structures are selected for the particular problem.
Research and terminology
Regional terminology is identified when it can change meaning. Exact conversions use recognised mathematical relationships. Conventional size ranges are presented as ranges, not universal standards.
Calculators
Each calculator states its method, assumptions and limitations. Inputs are validated in the browser, while the surrounding guidance explains why a physical swatch or layout remains important.
Images
Educational illustrations are created for the site and hosted locally. They are explanatory graphics, not photographs attributed to a fictional maker.
Independence and updates
Commercial relationships do not buy editorial conclusions. Pages are reviewed when guidance changes, a tool is modified or a credible correction is received. Material corrections are prioritised over cosmetic edits.
